French prime minister visits SAFRAN at Paris Air Show

Today at the Paris Air Show, a day before this very successful event draws to a close, French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin visited the exhibits of SAFRAN group companies, where he was welcomed by Jean-Paul Béchat, Chairman of the Executive Board. Mr. Béchat provided a brief review for the prime minister of the scope of the group's achievements, spanning aircraft and rocket propulsion and equipment, defense and security. Dominique de Villepin and his official retinue then planned to watch a number of demonstration flights by today's leading airplanes and helicopters – most of them equipped by SAFRAN.

Aircelle and the A380

The nacelles surrounding the jet engines on the Airbus A380 are as huge and innovative as the airplane itself! During the Paris Air Show, a streamlined maintenance team from nacelle manufacturer Aircelle services these units after each demonstration flight.
