In April 2003, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft of Russia chose the SaM146 engine for its new family of Russian Regional Jets (RRJ). During a press conference at the Paris Air Show on June 14, we interviewed Michel Déchelotte, Chief Executive Officer of PowerJet SA, the French operating unit of the French-Russian joint venture in charge of this program.

On May 14, a Turbomeca engine powered the first helicopter to touch down on the summit of Mount Everest, a Eurocopter AS350 B3 powered by an Arriel 2B1. Not only did this feat set a new world record, it also symbolizes a company heading for new heights! Emeric d'Arcimoles told the story during Turbomeca's press conference.
