Indian aircraft manufacturer HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.) is once again showcasing its Dhruv helicopter, a multirole machine in the 5 to 6.5 ton class, already deployed by Indian armed forces. The Dhruv is powered by two Turbomeca Ardiden engines, each developing 900 kW (1,200 shp). The Ardiden is an economical, modular and compact engine, co-developed and co-produced with HAL, and specifically designed to perform under "hot-high" conditions.
