Bristow Helicopters officially took delivery of its first Eurocopter EC 225 during the Paris Air Show, out of a total order of four helicopters. The launch customer for this medium helicopter, Bristow will use it to serve oil platforms in the North Sea. The EC 225 is powered by twin Turbomeca Makila 2A turbine engines, each rated at 1,500 kW (2,100 shp) - the same engine that powers the EC 725, the military version of this helicopter.
